I am the mother of four girls, ranging in age from 7 to 15. I am married, but have been seperated for 2 1/2 years. I had to have my husband removed from the home due to domestic violence and he threatened suicide in front of my youngest daughter. Since then, it has been just me and my girls. It has been very hard. We aren't originally from this city. We moved here with my husband(I don't have any family here) nine years ago. He has family here. Since we have split up, I get no kind of support, not even atleast emotional, from them. My husband and I are still legally married, yet he has married another woman. And, has had two children with this other woman. During the time we were together, he rarely had a job. I was the one that had to work. I have just barely been able to make ends meet, all on my own. He has given me a total of only $65 in child support over these 2 1/2 years. I have filed with the attorney general, but he just doesn't work. So, I can recieve nothing from him. My daughters and I really would like to go back to where we will have family and support. But, I do not have the money to do so. Yes, I do have family there, but they have such high rents and can barely make ends meet themselves. But what I will have from them is emotional support, and babysitting so i may work and attend school, should I choose to do so. This is something that I definitely do not have here. I even have a job waiting back home for me, if only i could just make it there. I just need the money for the transportation to my hometown, and also for an apartment when I get there. I figure that I will need atleast $3000.00. This is for the transportation to get there, first months rent, security deposit, and deposit for utilities. It will also allow for me to get to and from work until my first pay check. Please, if there is anyone out there that is fortunate enough to be able to help my family get back to family, to people that love them(since we've been away from them for so long),please do so. We are on the verge of becoming homeless at the end of this month. We just want to go home where we belong!
